3. Blood heat

Main symptoms: Bright red blood under the vagina during pregnancy, or distension and pain in the waist and abdomen, accompanied by restlessness, hot palms, dry mouth and throat, or hot flashes, short yellow urine, and constipation. The tongue is red, the tongue coating is yellow and dry, and the pulse is slippery and rapid or stringy and slippery.

Analysis: Heat is hidden in Chong and Ren, forcing blood to flow abnormally so the blood under the vagina is bright red; the fetus is moving and about to fall so the waist is sore, the abdomen is bloated and painful; the heat disturbs the mind so the heart is upset and uneasy; the heat damages the yin fluid so the five hearts are hot and upset, or there are hot flashes, dry mouth and throat, short and yellow urine, constipation and tongue and pulse are all signs of heat hidden in Chong and Ren.

4. Fall injury

Main symptoms: Trauma during pregnancy, backache, abdominal distension, or vaginal bleeding, slippery and weak pulse

Analysis: Falls, bruises or excessive exertion directly injure Chong and Ren meridians, damaging Qi, blood, fetal Qi and the kidneys, causing the fetus to lose its attachment and to move as if about to fall, resulting in symptoms such as lower back pain, abdominal distension, bleeding in the vagina, and a slippery and weak pulse.
