How to care for functional uterine bleeding during hysterectomy

Abnormal uterine bleeding caused by abnormal neuroendocrine mechanisms regulating the reproductive system is called dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB), which is a common gynecological disease that is more common in adolescence and menopause. Western medicine divides DUB into ovulatory DUB (corpus luteum dysfunction) and anovulatory DUB (follicular phase dysfunction) according to the degree of ovarian dysfunction. So how should patients with DUB undergo hysterectomy for care?

1. Pay attention to rest, keep a happy, cheerful and optimistic mood, and generally rest in bed. You can do some outdoor activities appropriately. For example, do exercises or walks on the balcony or in the garden, or do some light housework. Do not sit on a small stool within two months after hysterectomy to prevent increased abdominal pressure, causing the intestinal thread at the vaginal incision stump to fall off and cause vaginal bleeding. Do not carry heavy objects and avoid squatting.
2. Pay attention to nutrition, and the diet should be mainly high-protein, low-fat. In order to promote the healing of abdominal incisions after surgery, you can eat ham chicken soup, fish soup, meat soup, pigeon soup, etc.
3. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to keep bowel movements smooth and prevent vaginal stump bleeding caused by excessive abdominal pressure due to dry stools and difficulty in defecation.
4. If there is a small amount of dark brown vaginal bleeding within two months after the operation, it is caused by incomplete intestinal absorption and there is no need to come to the hospital for examination. If there is a large amount of bright red vaginal bleeding, come to the hospital for treatment in time.
