Cost of testing for functional uterine bleeding

Functional uterine bleeding, also known as DUB, is a common gynecological disease. It refers to abnormal uterine bleeding. After examination, no systemic or genital organic lesions were found. Instead, it is caused by neuroendocrine system dysfunction. It manifests as irregular menstrual cycle, excessive menstrual flow, prolonged menstruation or irregular bleeding.

Symptoms of functional uterine bleeding include irregular uterine bleeding, heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged bleeding, and severe anemia. B-ultrasound examination can be performed to confirm the diagnosis.
It is recommended to go to the hospital in time for endometrial sampling, B-ultrasound, hormone, and hysteroscopy. For treatment, if the amount of bleeding is small, you can choose hormone drugs, such as contraceptives. It is best to follow the doctor's advice and take the medicine according to your own situation. If the amount of bleeding is heavy, it is recommended to choose hysteroscopy or curettage.
If the symptoms are difficult to control with medication, curettage can be considered. About half of the patients can often relieve their symptoms after curettage. For menopausal women, hysterectomy or radioactive menopause can be considered if medication and curettage are ineffective. The price of the examination is only a few hundred yuan.
Gynecological examination: Due to the stimulation of courtship hormones, anovulatory functional uterine bleeding may cause the uterus to be slightly larger, softer, with a loose cervical opening, transparent leucorrhea with a large amount of volume, and may present fern-like crystals of varying degrees or atypical crystals.
Endometrial biopsy: mostly simple or cystic hyperplasia, occasionally adenomatous or atypical hyperplasia, sometimes atrophic changes. Progesterone measurement remains at the basal level of the proliferative phase. Ovulatory functional uterine bleeding Premenstrual endometrial biopsy can show poor or uneven glandular secretion. Interstitial edema is not significant.
