Daily care for patients with vulvar leukoplakia

Vulvar leukoplakia is a common gynecological disease. Its main symptoms are vulvar itching and white patches on the genitals, which seriously disrupt normal life and work. While receiving conventional treatment, relevant care and health care should also be taken in daily life.

1. Comfortable underwear

Patients with vulvar leukoplakia should pay attention to choosing soft, comfortable and breathable cotton underwear, and avoid wearing underwear made of chemical fibers such as acrylic. Underwear should be as loose as possible, and tight underwear should not be worn, which will help alleviate discomfort in the vulva and avoid infection.

2. Keep your vulva clean

The frequency of washing the vulva should be appropriate, not too frequent, so as not to damage the vaginal environment. Since the vulva has a self-cleaning function, it can be washed 2-3 times a week. Pay attention to the water temperature to be appropriate and not too hot. When scrubbing the vulva, you should choose a special cotton towel. After scrubbing, you should reduce the friction and irritation of the vulva, and do not scratch it when it itches.

3. Eat a healthy diet

During the recovery period of vulvar leukoplakia patients, they should avoid spicy, greasy foods and sweets. They should eat more foods rich in iron, copper, manganese and other trace elements, such as walnuts, sesame seeds, mushrooms, tofu, green vegetables, fungus, carrots, lean meat, pig blood, etc.

4. Pleasure of body and mind

Patients do not need to be depressed by the disease. They should learn to relieve stress and regulate their emotions in daily life, keep optimistic and cheerful. In this regard, the family members of patients should actively cooperate to build up their confidence in overcoming the disease.
