Dietary taboos for patients with uterine fibroids after surgery

Patients with uterine fibroids should pay attention to dietary adjustment after surgery, which helps restore endocrine function and is beneficial to the recovery of the disease.

1. Avoid eating refined food

The diet of patients with uterine fibroids after surgery should not be too refined. In addition to meeting the body's needs for protein and calories, they should also pay attention to the intake of vitamins, because the body's functional repair requires vitamins and other trace nutrients. Patients should eat more crude fiber foods, which can not only meet nutritional needs, but also effectively enhance gastrointestinal motility, prevent constipation, and help the recovery of the disease.

2. Avoid taking hot or blood-clotting foods

Although hot and blood-coagulant foods such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly are beneficial to women's health, they are not suitable for patients after uterine fibroid surgery.

3. Avoid greasy food

Postoperative uterine fibroid patients should try to eat a light diet, not too greasy, especially mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, black fish and other hair-raising foods. And eat more foods rich in vitamins, such as carrots, spinach, cabbage, leeks, shepherd's purse, snow vegetable, day lily and so on.

4. Avoid stimulating food

After surgery, patients with uterine fibroids should avoid eating chili peppers, peppercorns, raw onions, raw garlic, and frozen foods to prevent these irritating foods from having an adverse effect on recovery from the disease. Patients should also avoid drinking alcohol.
