Advantages of focused ultrasound in treating cervical erosion

Advantages of focused ultrasound in treating cervical erosion

For many years, my country has divided cervical erosion into pathological inflammatory erosion and pseudoerosion. When women have related symptoms such as increased leucorrhea, stickiness, blood streaks, or contact bleeding, they need to receive relevant treatment. Focused ultrasound is a non-invasive local treatment method for cervical erosion that has been developed in recent years. Its advantages include:

1. The therapeutic dose is relatively constant and easy to control

The ideal therapeutic dose should be able to produce certain coagulative necrosis in the target tissue and ensure the safety of tissue outside the target area, but it is difficult to achieve. When using focused ultrasound to treat cervical erosion, the therapeutic dose is relatively constant and easier to control.

2. Less vaginal discharge and bloody secretions after treatment

The more commonly used physical therapies are laser, freezing, microwave and other therapies. Usually, there will be a large amount of continuous vaginal discharge in the short term after treatment. However, after focused ultrasound treatment, there will be less vaginal discharge and bloody secretions.

3. No scar after repair

Due to the minimally invasive nature of ultrasound treatment, the integrity of the cervical epithelium and the activity of surrounding tissue cells are protected. Therefore, the repaired cervix is scar-free and soft in texture, making it more suitable for women who have not given birth.

4. Fewer complications

After focused ultrasound treatment, there is no scab shedding and epidermal repair process on the cervix, less bleeding, and less infection; there are fewer related complications such as endocervical hyperplasia and cervical stenosis.

In addition to the above, the application of focused ultrasound to treat cervical erosion also has the characteristics of no smoke or abnormal odor during the treatment process.
