The manifestations and characteristics of various types of incomplete abortion in traditional Chinese medicine

Incomplete abortion is one of the more common complications of abortion. Its occurrence is related to the level of surgical technique, the shape and position of the uterus, the position of the gestational sac and many other factors. One of the diagnostic contents is the residual villi or embryonic tissue in the uterine cavity after surgery, which must be diagnosed by naked eye or pathology. According to the patient's symptoms and signs, Chinese medicine divides it into 3 types, and the symptoms of each type are as follows:

1. Liver depression and blood heat type

The patient has vaginal bleeding after surgery, the amount of bleeding is sometimes more and sometimes less, the color is bright red or dark purple, the texture is viscous, mixed with blood clots, the lower abdomen is dull pain, and some patients may experience dizziness, bitter and dry mouth, etc. The tongue is red, the coating is thin and yellow, and the pulse is stringy and slippery.

2. Yin deficiency and blood heat type

Patients have vaginal bleeding after abortion, which is heavy or continuous, bright red in color, and thick in texture. At the same time, they may experience dull pain in the lower abdomen, soreness in the waist and knees, and some patients may also experience dry mouth and throat, constipation, etc. The tongue is red with little coating and the pulse is thin and rapid.

3. Qi deficiency type

After the operation, the patient had heavy vaginal bleeding of lighter color, empty lower abdomen, fatigue, weakness in the limbs, pale complexion, pale tongue, thin white fur, and weak pulse.

It should be noted that patients should not diagnose themselves, but should treat their condition according to their own situation. If incomplete abortion or vaginal bleeding occurs, they should communicate with a professional doctor in time to avoid delaying treatment and causing serious consequences.
