Personal hygiene guidance can prevent functional uterine bleeding in adolescents

In order to prevent functional uterine bleeding in adolescence, adolescent girls should be educated to pay attention to observing their menstrual cycles and menstrual volume, and to detect abnormalities in a timely manner. At the same time, through health education, they can understand their own physiological, psychological and behavioral characteristics, enhance their health awareness, cultivate good living and hygiene habits, arrange their lives, work and studies reasonably, and avoid mental stress and overwork.

(1) Self-monitoring Patients with anovulatory functional uterine bleeding may have various clinical manifestations. The most common clinical symptom is irregular uterine bleeding, which is manifested as irregular menstrual cycle, varying menstrual duration, varying amounts of bleeding, or even heavy bleeding. Therefore, adolescent girls should pay attention to observing and recording their menstrual conditions, set up a menstrual card, record the menstrual cycle, menstrual period, menstrual volume, and changes in leucorrhea. By recording, they can understand whether their menstruation is regular and detect abnormalities in time for early treatment.

(2) Menstrual health care During menstruation, pay attention to the hygiene of the vulva, change sanitary napkins and menstrual pads frequently, use sterilized sanitary napkins and toilet paper, and the toilet paper should be soft and clean. Wash the vulva twice a day with warm water. If there is no shower, take a bath in a tub and follow the rules of "one person, one tub, one towel, one water". Wash the vulva and feet separately, and use separate tubs. Do not take a cold bath. Because the cervix opens during menstruation, it is not suitable to sit in a bath but to take a shower to avoid retrograde infection.
