Experts explain how to diagnose ectopic pregnancy

Diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is the premise of scientific treatment of ectopic pregnancy. It is very important for patients with ectopic pregnancy and helps the treatment and recovery of patients with ectopic pregnancy. What are the common methods for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy ? The following will tell you about the common methods for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy.

In general, the common methods for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy are:

1. Pregnancy test: When the embryo is alive or the trophoblast is viable, the syncytial cells secrete HCG and the pregnancy test may be positive. Since the HCG level in patients with ectopic pregnancy is lower than that in normal pregnancy, the general HCG determination method has a low positive rate, and a more sensitive β-HCG radioimmunoassay or monoclonal antibody enzyme-labeled method must be used to diagnose ectopic pregnancy.

2. Posterior fornix puncture: Since blood in the abdominal cavity is most likely to accumulate in the rectouterine pouch, even if the amount of blood is small, it can be sucked out through the posterior fornix puncture. Use an 18-gauge long needle to puncture the rectouterine pouch from the posterior fornix of the vagina. If dark red non-coagulated blood is drawn out, it is a positive result, indicating that there is blood accumulation in the abdominal cavity. This is a common method for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy.

3. Ultrasound diagnosis: Using ultrasound to detect the gestational sac and fetal heartbeat is very important for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy. If the pregnancy is located outside the uterus, ectopic pregnancy can be diagnosed. This is also a method for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy.

The above is an introduction to the common methods of diagnosing ectopic pregnancy. I believe everyone has some understanding of this. Once diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy, you must go to the hospital for treatment immediately to avoid missing the best time for treatment.
