Learn some common sense about cervical erosion

Do you know some common sense about cervical erosion? For example, the causes, symptoms, treatments, etc. of cervical erosion are all common sense about cervical erosion that we women need to know. More common sense about cervical erosion is introduced as follows:

Due to different degrees of stimulation from inflammation, the columnar epithelium of the cervical mucosa grows slowly, and the epithelium is flat and smooth on the surface, which is simple erosion; the columnar epithelium grows quickly, and when glandular hyperplasia is formed, it is adenoid erosion. If the glands expand, it can be follicular erosion, accompanied by stromal hyperplasia, forming small protrusions, and unevenly covered with columnar epithelium, forming papillary erosion. The above types can often occur in combination. Cervical erosion is the most common type of gynecological disease, and it is also common knowledge about cervical erosion.

Common knowledge of the causes of cervical erosion: the causes of the disease include mechanical stimulation or injury, such as sexual intercourse, abortion and childbirth lacerations and bacterial invasion causing cervicitis; pathogen invasion, commonly common pyogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Gonorrhea, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, viruses, actinomycetes, Trichomonas, and Ameba can all cause cervicitis

Common symptoms of cervical erosion: The main symptom is increased vaginal discharge, which is often purulent. There may be pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region and bladder irritation symptoms; patients with more severe erosion may have varying degrees of pale bloody secretions, typically bloody secretions after sexual intercourse, and viscous purulent secretions from the cervix, which are not conducive to the passage of sperm and cause infertility.

Common sense examination of cervical erosion: It is not difficult to diagnose based on clinical manifestations, but it should be noted that cervical erosion is difficult to distinguish from cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or early cervical cancer in appearance, and cervical scraping and endocervical aspiration should be performed routinely, and colposcopy and biopsy should be performed when necessary to confirm the diagnosis. The eroded surface of the cervix is very clearly demarcated from the surrounding normal squamous epithelium. Clinically, it is often divided into three categories according to the area of erosion: mild (Ⅰ°), moderate (Ⅱ°), and severe (Ⅲ°). Any erosion area that accounts for 1/3 of the total area of the cervix is mild cervical erosion, and any erosion area that accounts for 1/2 of the cervix is moderate cervical erosion. Severe cervical erosion occurs when the area of erosion exceeds 1/2 of the total area of the cervix.

Common sense treatment of cervical erosion: During the treatment with the following methods, attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the vulva. Living, vaginal douching and sitting bathing are prohibited. Regular check-ups should also be conducted to observe the healing of the erosion surface.

(1) Physical therapy: used for cervical erosion with a large erosion area and deep inflammatory infiltration. ① Electric ironing: Use a special electric iron to burn the eroded surface tissue, causing it to necrotize and fall off, and it must reach a certain depth. ② Cryotherapy: Use a special rapid freezing device to freeze, necrotize, and fall off the lesion tissue on the cervical erosion surface. ③ Laser treatment: Use a carbon dioxide laser treatment device, use a special laser treatment head to irradiate the cervical erosion tissue, so that the eroded tissue carbonizes, crusts, and falls off, and regenerates new squamous epithelium. ④ KS device treatment: It uses a special band of light and heat treatment, which is painless and effective.

(2) Surgical treatment: For patients who are ineffective with medication and physical therapy, have deep cervical erosion or a large area of cervical erosion, have cervical hypertrophy, or are suspected of having cancer, cervical cone resection or total hysterectomy may be considered.

(3) Drug treatment: Drug treatment can be used for cases with small erosion surface and shallow inflammatory infiltration.
