What are the signs of unexpected miscarriage?

Many women who are pregnant early do not want children and choose to have an abortion. However, some people experience miscarriage under unexpected circumstances. This is an accidental miscarriage. Let us understand the signs of an accidental miscarriage.

The main signs of miscarriage are vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain after menopause. When miscarriage occurs, the embryonic villi begin to separate from the decidua (endometrium during pregnancy) of the uterine wall, and the blood vessels open, causing vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain due to uterine contraction to expel the embryo. The amount of bleeding varies, depending on the stage of miscarriage. At the beginning, there is a small amount of bleeding, the uterine contraction is not strong, and the cervix is not open, which is called threatened miscarriage.

As the uterine contractions intensify, bleeding increases, and the cervix opens wider, the miscarriage is inevitable. When the embryo is completely expelled, the uterine contraction closes the cervix, and the bleeding decreases or stops, it is a complete miscarriage. If part of the embryo is expelled, but some of it remains in the uterine cavity, it affects the uterine contraction, the bleeding is often a lot or continues, and the cervix still does not close, it is an incomplete miscarriage.

Inevitable and incomplete abortions often cause heavy bleeding, and sometimes women may fall into a state of shock due to heavy blood loss. Emergency curettage is necessary to immediately remove the embryonic tissue in the uterine cavity to stop bleeding. As for late abortion after 3 months of pregnancy, the process is similar to childbirth. There are bursts of uterine contractions and abdominal pain, followed by placental detachment and bleeding, and the fetus and placenta are expelled after the cervix is dilated. Sometimes, the embryo has died in the uterus but has not been expelled, the uterus no longer grows but shrinks, and the woman's conscious pregnancy symptoms disappear or fetal movements stop. This situation is called missed abortion or overdue abortion. For spontaneous abortions that occur 3 or more times in a row, it is called habitual abortion.

Through the above introduction, everyone should know the signs of accidental miscarriage, and should pay attention to it in time and seek early treatment after discovery.
