Uterine fibroids abnormal leucorrhea

Uterine fibroids may cause abnormal vaginal discharge with an odor, which may be related to the location, size, and infection of the fibroids. Abnormal vaginal discharge usually manifests as increased volume, color change, or abnormal odor, especially when the odor is obvious, which may be related to bacterial infection or inflammation.

Uterine fibroids are common benign tumors in women that usually grow inside or on the surface of the uterine wall. Although most fibroids do not cause obvious symptoms, when fibroids compress surrounding tissues or affect the uterine cavity, they may interfere with normal secretions and cause an increase in vaginal discharge or a change in texture. If fibroids are infected, vaginal discharge may become turbid, yellow, or even have an odor.

The specific manifestations of abnormal vaginal discharge vary from person to person. Some women may only have an increased amount of vaginal discharge with a thinner texture; while others may have yellow, green, or bloody vaginal discharge with a distinct odor. This odor is usually caused by bacterial infection, such as anaerobic or fungal infection. If abnormal vaginal discharge is accompanied by lower abdominal pain, fever, or discomfort during urination, it may indicate that the infection has spread and needs to be taken seriously.

For the treatment of abnormal leucorrhea, first of all, pay attention to personal hygiene, keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid using irritating lotions or excessive cleaning. Wearing breathable cotton underwear and avoiding tight clothing can help reduce the chance of bacterial growth. In terms of diet, you can consume more foods rich in vitamin C and probiotics, such as yogurt and citrus fruits, to help enhance immunity. If abnormal leucorrhea persists for more than a week, or is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time. The doctor may clarify the cause through gynecological examination, routine leucorrhea examination or ultrasound examination, and prescribe antibiotics or antifungal drugs according to the situation.

Although abnormal vaginal discharge is common, it should not be ignored. If symptoms recur or worsen, especially if accompanied by odor, pain, or bleeding, you should seek medical attention immediately to rule out the possibility of other underlying diseases.
