Irregular menstruation and excessive vaginal discharge

Irregular menstruation and excessive vaginal discharge

Irregular menstruation and excessive vaginal discharge may be health signals from the body and need to be taken seriously. Menstrual cycle disorders and increased vaginal discharge may be related to hormone level fluctuations, gynecological inflammation or other health problems. It is important to pay attention and take action in time.

The menstrual cycle is usually 21 to 35 days, lasting 3 to 7 days, and leucorrhea is a normal secretion of the female reproductive system, usually transparent or milky white, without odor. If the menstrual cycle suddenly becomes irregular, such as the interval is too long or too short, or the amount of leucorrhea increases significantly, the color is abnormal, accompanied by odor or itching, this may be the body reminding you that something is wrong.

Irregular menstruation may be related to stress, weight changes, unbalanced diet or hormone imbalance. For example, staying up late for a long time or emotional fluctuations can affect the normal functioning of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis and lead to menstrual disorders. Abnormally large amounts of vaginal discharge may be a sign of gynecological diseases such as vaginitis, cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease. If the vaginal discharge is yellow, green or bloody, accompanied by an odor or vulvar discomfort, special attention should be paid.

In order to improve irregular menstruation and abnormal leucorrhea, you can start with your lifestyle. Maintain a regular schedule, avoid staying up late, and exercise properly to help regulate hormone levels. In terms of diet, eat more foods rich in vitamins and minerals, such as fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, and eat less high-sugar, high-fat foods. If leucorrhea is abnormal, pay attention to personal hygiene, choose cotton underwear with good breathability, and avoid using irritating lotions to clean the private parts.

If irregular menstruation and abnormal leucorrhea persist for more than two months, or are accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain and fever, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time for a gynecological examination and necessary laboratory tests to rule out potential health problems.
