How long does it take to cure cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease?

Cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease can be cured, but the recurrence rate of these two diseases is very high. You can take medicine for two courses of treatment, or go to the hospital for treatment. Cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease are common gynecological diseases in married women, mainly due to cervical congestion, edema, increased secretions, pelvic effusion and other reasons. The treatment of cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease is mainly drug treatment, and generally no surgical treatment is required.

1. Eliminate all routes of infection, keep the perineum clean and dry, wash the vulva with clean water every night, make a special basin, do not wash the vagina with your hands, and do not wash the vulva with hot water, soap, etc. Pelvic inflammation causes more leucorrhea, which is sticky, so change underwear frequently and do not wear tight or chemical fiber underwear.

2. In case of vaginal bleeding after gynecological surgery, such as during menstruation, after miscarriage or above, or removal of an IUD, sexual intercourse, swimming, bathing, or sauna bathing must be prohibited, and sanitary napkins must be changed frequently. As a result, the body's resistance is reduced, making it easy for pathogens to enter and cause infection.

3. If you are diagnosed with acute or subacute pelvic inflammatory disease, you must follow the doctor's advice and actively cooperate with the treatment. Resting in bed or taking a semi-recumbent position is conducive to the limitation of inflammation and the discharge of secretions.

4. Fever patients generally sweat a lot when their fever subsides. They should pay attention to keeping warm and dry, change clothes after sweating, and avoid using air conditioning or direct convection wind.

5. Pay attention to the quantity, quality, color and smell of leucorrhea. If the leucorrhea is large in quantity, yellow in color, thick in texture and has a foul odor, it indicates that the condition is serious. For example, if the leucorrhea changes from yellow to white or light yellow, and the quantity changes from more to less.

It is necessary to identify and prevent some other diseases, because if some other diseases occur, but they are treated as cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease, it will delay the disease. In the case of unclear diseases, cervical cancer screening is required, and the color of secretions should be noted. If other lesions are excluded, some antibiotic suppositories or drugs can be used for treatment.
