How can I prevent vaginitis from recurring?

Vaginitis is a common inflammation of the female reproductive system caused by bacteria, trichomonas, fungi and other infections. It may also be caused by a large number of bacteria breeding due to decreased body resistance and changes in the vaginal environment.

The causes of recurrent vaginitis are as follows:

1. Not adhering to the course of treatment

A very important reason for non-adherence to recurrent episodes is non-adherence to the treatment process. Many patients feel that their symptoms have been alleviated after taking the medicine, there is not much leucorrhea, and the vulva is not so itchy, so they think they are cured and no longer adhere to the treatment. In fact, this is a big taboo.

Generally speaking, when drug treatment begins, the effect will be more obvious, and a large number of pathogenic bacteria will be killed, but the vaginal flora has not fully recovered, and there are fewer lactic acid bacteria. Once the treatment is stopped, the residual pathogenic bacteria still exist, and the fewer lactic acid bacteria cannot inhibit the reproduction and growth of pathogenic bacteria, so the inflammation will soon worsen. At this time, medication will also relieve symptoms, but the pathogenic bacteria will develop drug resistance, and the treatment effect will be greatly reduced. At the beginning of treatment, we must adhere to the treatment process and not accept good treatment.

2. Improper treatment methods

During the treatment, the vagina should be kept clean, the vulva should be cleaned frequently, and the underwear should be changed frequently to avoid sexual intercourse. The underwear and towels should be boiled and disinfected and exposed to the sun. The slaves should pay attention to their daily life and their own hygiene, otherwise the inflammation will not be cured and will recur repeatedly.

3. Reinfection

Many patients recover after treatment, but are re-infected after a period of time. The main reasons for re-infection are usually not paying attention to hygiene, taking a large amount of antibiotics, excessive use of alkaline detergents to clean the vagina, or suffering from diabetes, which may lead to vaginal flora disorder and the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria. Sexual partners carry bacteria and can be transmitted to women through sexual intercourse.
