Oligomenorrhea belongs to the category of menstrual disorders. Menstrual disorders are also called irregular menstruation. They are common gynecological diseases, manifested by abnormal menstrual cycle, menstrual period, menstrual volume, and menstrual color. Oligomenorrhea refers to menstrual volume less than 30ml, which may be due to menopause, but other diseases cannot be ruled out, such as endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. Causes of oligomenorrhea: 1. Menopause: Menopause is an inevitable process in every woman's life. When a woman is over 40 years old, the estrogen and progesterone produced by the ovaries will gradually decrease, which will reduce the frequency of menstruation and ovulation, causing oligomenorrhea. The patient can continue to observe. If there is no menstruation for 12 months after the last menstrual period and pregnancy is ruled out, it can be determined as menopause. 2. Endometritis: If you have an unhealthy sex life and frequent intrauterine operations, bacteria will enter the uterine cavity through the vagina, which will stimulate the endometrium, causing inflammatory infection and even intrauterine adhesions. Clinically, the main symptoms are reduced menstrual volume, prolonged menstruation, and lower abdominal pain. You can take antibiotics such as azithromycin capsules and levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules as prescribed by the doctor, which can have a good anti-inflammatory effect. If necessary, perform hysteroscopy. 3. Pelvic inflammatory disease: If inflammation and infection occur in adjacent organs, inflammatory factors will stimulate the pelvic connective tissue through blood circulation, causing local inflammatory reactions. The main symptoms are scanty menstruation, pain during sexual intercourse, increased vaginal discharge, etc. Oral anti-inflammatory drugs such as penicillin V potassium capsules and amoxicillin capsules can be taken under the guidance of a doctor. Things to note when having scanty menstruation: Patients should strictly follow the doctor's orders to take medicines to achieve the purpose of treating the disease and prevent recurrence. At the same time, they should also develop good hygiene habits, change underwear regularly and disinfect underwear in time. |
