In the weight loss consultation clinic, we often encounter clients asking, "I'm trying to lose weight, but the company dinner tonight is going to an all-you-can-eat restaurant. What should I eat?" First and foremost, it is necessary to adjust your mindset to a "weight loss mindset", to "eat smart but not full", and tell yourself that the purpose of the dinner is to "taste" the food, not to "eat like crazy"! After adjusting your mindset, the principles of eating are also very simple, just like the principles of a balanced diet for three meals a day: eat the most vegetables, choose more white meat and beans, peel them and reduce fat, and save rice and noodles for last! Here are a few examples to make it clear! 1. Vegetable and Chicken Soup (Longevity Vegetables, Shiitake Mushrooms, Chicken, Ginger) Vegetable chicken soup contains more vegetables. The chicken can be eaten with the skin removed. Try to remove the floating oil when drinking the soup. This will make it a healthy dish with high fiber and protein. 2. Braised Abalone Slices (abalone, Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, braised sauce) Abalone is a low-fat, high-protein food. Although it is not high in fat, excessive intake is not recommended. Hotpot Hot pot allows you to consume a lot of vegetables, and it is actually a very healthy choice. Just be careful to choose less red meat and more chicken, seafood, and tofu, and replace refined starches such as prince noodles, glass noodles, and braised pork rice with natural high-fiber staple foods such as taro, sweet potato, and pumpkin. In addition, hot pot ingredients are usually high in calories and contain many additives, so they are relatively unhealthy ingredients and it is recommended to eat less. For sauces, it is recommended to choose natural low-calorie ingredients such as grated radish, raw chili, coriander, soy sauce, etc., and avoid high-calorie shacha sauce and chili oil. You can still enjoy and lose weight. 6. Desserts and fruits Desserts are everyone’s favorite. Taro sago or light cheesecake are hard to resist. It is recommended that you limit yourself to one portion and remember to pair it with fruit to bring a healthy and perfect end to the meal!
