Oil Myths! Good fats are good for your health and don’t make you fat

Oil Myths! Good fats are good for your health and don’t make you fat

You know it's true, every woman I know needs to correct her mindset when it comes to attitudes about fat. We have all been severely brainwashed by the low-fat and fat-free trend, which has reduced our ability to make appropriate judgments. "The desire for food is temporary, but maintaining a good figure is a lifelong thing." How many of us have taken this sentence to heart?

Have you ever gorged on fat-free foods without restraint? Why not eat the whole box of cookies, they are fat free anyway! Please pass on the fat-free ice cream! If you had provided your body with delicious, wholesome food from the beginning, your urgent feminine desires would have been satisfied long ago. Instead of struggling on the edge of whether to release your nature, it is better to directly provide your body with everything it needs.

The human body needs good fat to function properly

"Good fats" are essential for normal brain function, strengthening the immune system, producing hormones, strengthening cell walls, lubricating joints, protecting organs and maintaining a healthy nervous system.

Fat is also a clean, sustainable source of energy, good fats help us absorb and transport vitamins, and believe it or not, fats actually help with detoxification, metabolism, weight loss, and the reduction of cellulite, God bless! Bad fats (saturated fats and partially hydrogenated fats or trans fats) will destroy the curves of your buttocks and your health. The best way to deal with these fats is to avoid them as much as possible.

Good fat = unsaturated fat

What is good fat? The answer is unsaturated fat, the most important of which is essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are generally divided into two categories: omega-3 and omega-6, both of which are extremely important! These fatty acids are called essential fatty acids because they are necessary for the human body (it doesn't matter whether you say it or not), and the human body cannot produce them on its own and must obtain them from food. Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, avocados, kiwifruit, guava, purslane, nuts, seeds (including hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds...especially flax seeds), and oily fish are all excellent sources of essential fatty acids.

But strictly speaking, there is a type of saturated fat that is also very beneficial to the human body, and that is coconut oil. Coconut oil often gets a negative reception because some coconut oil is partially hydrogenated, but unrefined coconut oil is both tasty and therapeutic. Coconut contains lauric acid, a magical substance also found in breast milk that helps boost immunity. Look for green Thai coconuts, which have a lot of healthy fats and nutrients in their flesh.

In addition, coconut can promote metabolism and has antiviral and antifungal properties. Add coconut meat and coconut milk into fruit jelly drinks, and you can enjoy an unprecedented wonderful taste! Fun fact: Coconut water is similar in composition to blood plasma; in fact, it was used for emergency blood transfusions during World War II. That's so cool!

Coconut oil, olive oil, sesame oil for high temperature frying

Generally speaking, uncooked fats are much better for you and your liver than cooked ones. If you use oil to cook food, it’s best to stick to coconut oil (best for high-heat cooking), olive oil, and sesame oil, all of which can handle relatively high temperatures. The key is to fry it gently, or pour the oil on afterwards.

Several other oils that are also good for salads (but are too easily spoiled to be used in cooking) include flax oil, hemp oil, Udo's Choice (a brand that produces blended oils), macadamia oil, and walnut oil. Try to avoid margarine and shortening (also known as trans fats), commercial spray cooking oils, vegetable oils, corn oil, and peanut oil, all of which are harmful to your health. Also, it’s best not to eat cream, but if you just can’t help it, then buy organic fresh cream!
