Do not buy at places with high turnover, such as roadside stalls, and try to choose stores or manufacturers whose sources can be traced. If there is an emergency after purchase, there will be a clear complaint channel. Moreover, merchants of unknown origin usually do not have proof of transactions when purchasing from wholesalers, which adds to concerns about dietary health. Finally, Feng Runlan emphasized that hairy crabs have a certain market price, and the price difference between imported and domestically produced ones will not fluctuate too much. For example, a 4-liang hairy crab has a price between 400 and 550 yuan. People should not be greedy and buy overly cheap products. From a business logic perspective, if the cost price is 300 yuan, why would it be sold for only 100 or 200 yuan? Feng Runlan said that if people choose according to three key points, they can eat it with confidence. But one thing to remember is that hairy crabs are fresh food and must be cooked before eating to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort. Pan Zhikuan, director of the regional management center of the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health, also pointed out that after 2006, the animal drug inspection items for mainland hairy crabs have been expanded from 16 to the current 36 items, including malachite green, tetracycline, etc. Due to the increased inspection threshold, no business has reported customs clearance for the past six years. Last week, seven batches of hairy crabs were reported from Liaoning, Jiangsu and Hubei provinces, with a total weight of 6,685 kilograms.
