What are the dangers of ovarian cysts?

1. The clinical manifestations of ovarian cysts are lower abdominal pain, lower abdominal discomfort, increased leucorrhea, yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea odor, abnormal menstruation, usually firm and painless swelling in the abdomen, and sometimes pain during sexual intercourse. The harm of ovarian cysts is that when the cyst affects hormone production, irregular vaginal bleeding or increased hair bodies, cyst torsion, severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, loss of appetite, nausea, fever and other symptoms may occur.

2. The biggest harm of ovarian cysts is that they may cause infertility, torsion, ulcers and peritonitis, posing a great threat to women's health.

The following questions arise:

1. One of the hazards of ovarian cysts is abdominal pain: if the tumor has no complications, the pain is rare. Patients with ovarian tumors feel abdominal pain, especially when it occurs suddenly, which is mostly caused by tumor pedicle torsion, occasionally caused by tumor rupture, bleeding or infection. Malignant cysts mainly cause abdominal pain and leg pain, and the pain often causes patients to go to the emergency room.

2. The second harm of ovarian cysts is that they can cause menstrual disorders: some uterine bleeding is not endocrine, or the ovarian tumor changes the pelvic blood vessel distribution, causing endometrial congestion; or the malignant ovarian tumor directly metastasizes to the endometrium. Menstrual disorders caused by endocrine tumors are usually combined with other secretory effects.

3. Functional cysts, skin cysts, serous cysts, and mucous cysts are generally asymptomatic. If the cyst becomes larger, it may cause dull pain or swelling in the patient's lower abdomen or back. The cyst may also squeeze the bladder, causing frequent urination or difficulty urinating. The cyst may even develop complications, infection, twisting, bleeding, or bursting. These symptoms may induce nausea, vomiting, fever, and severe abdominal pain.
