Treatment of pelvic effusion

Treatment of pelvic effusion

Pelvic effusion can be divided into physiological and pathological. Physiological pelvic effusion mainly occurs after ovulation and is related to the overflow of follicular fluid after ovulation. No special treatment is required. Pathological pelvic effusion is mainly related to inflammation and ectopic pregnancy. It can be treated through general treatment, drug therapy, physical therapy, etc. The specific treatment method should be comprehensively judged based on the progression of the patient's condition.

Treatment of pelvic effusion:

1. General treatment: Pelvic effusion is a common manifestation of gynecological diseases. When the effusion from other parts of the body flows into the pelvic cavity, it will cause the effusion to accumulate in the lowest part of the pelvic cavity when lying down, which will cause the patient to have symptoms such as irregular menstruation and sore waist. If it is physiological pelvic effusion, generally no special treatment is required, and a small amount of pelvic effusion can be absorbed by itself.

2. Drug treatment: If it is caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, you can eliminate the pathogen by taking antibiotics under the guidance of a doctor. Common drugs include ofloxacin capsules, levofloxacin tablets, etc.

3. Physical therapy: If the patient has a lot of pelvic effusion, pregnancy must be ruled out first, especially the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. After that, if necessary, you can follow the doctor's advice and use physical therapy such as laser, ultrashort wave, microwave, and ion penetration to promote local blood circulation in the pelvis and facilitate the absorption and disappearance of inflammation.

Precautions for pelvic effusion:

Patients should pay attention to not having any pregnancy plans and strictly observe contraception. At the same time, they should develop good eating and living habits and eat more high-calorie, high-protein, high-vitamin foods, such as beef, eggs, pork, etc., which will be beneficial to recovery.
