How to calculate the safe menstrual period

How to calculate the safe menstrual period

The calculation of the safe period is usually based on the regularity of the menstrual cycle. For women with regular menstruation, the safe period can be calculated by calendar method, temperature method, test paper method, etc.

1. Calendar method: The seven days before menstruation and the eight days after menstruation are relatively safe. Generally, women's menstrual period is 4 to 5 days, so the safe period after menstruation starts from the day when menstruation is over until the day before the next ovulation. The safe period after ovulation starts from the day after ovulation and ends on the day before the next menstrual period.

2. Body temperature method: Women can determine whether they have ovulated by measuring their body temperature in the morning. After ovulation, the body temperature will usually be higher, so it can be used to determine whether it is a safe period. However, this method will have a certain error, so it is not recommended to rely on it too much.

3. Test paper method: Generally, you can use ovulation test paper to measure whether a woman is in the safe period. This is also a method to measure the safe period of menstruation.

For women with irregular menstrual cycles, the safe period may not be accurately determined by the calculation method. It is also necessary to seek medical attention in time and monitor ovulation through ultrasound examination to obtain the accurate ovulation period and safe period.

Note:

For women with regular menstruation, the ovulation period will also be affected by emotions, diet, environment, etc., so there will be changes, so the safe period is not absolutely safe. Usually, conventional contraceptive methods such as condoms, birth control pills, and intrauterine contraceptive rings can be used to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
