What is the cause of pelvic effusion and how to treat it

The causes of pelvic effusion are mainly divided into physiological factors and pathological factors. Generally, general treatment, drug treatment, physical therapy, surgical treatment and other methods can be adopted according to the cause and severity.

1. Physiological factors: When women are in the ovulation period or menstrual period, due to changes in hormone levels in the body, a small amount of physiological pelvic fluid may occur. This is usually a normal physiological phenomenon, generally not exceeding 10 mm, and there are no clinical symptoms. No special treatment is required and it will be absorbed slowly on its own. It is recommended to develop good personal hygiene habits, change underwear frequently, and keep the vulva clean and dry.

2. Pathological factors:

1. Infectious diseases: Pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, cervical cancer, etc. may lead to pelvic infection, which in turn causes pelvic effusion. For inflammatory pelvic effusion, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., antibiotics such as metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, and amoxicillin capsules can be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor to help eliminate inflammation.

2. Ovarian cysts: Some cysts may rupture during development, causing fluid to enter the pelvic cavity. If the condition is more serious or drug treatment is ineffective, surgical treatment, such as laparoscopic surgery, can be considered.

3. Fallopian tube problems: Fallopian tube inflammation, fallopian tube blockage, hydrosalpinx and other problems may cause fluid to accumulate in the fallopian tube and eventually enter the pelvic cavity. For patients with severe conditions and other treatments that are ineffective, physical therapy can be considered, such as using professional tools to draw out the accumulated fluid.

4. Endometriosis: Ectopic endometrial tissue may bleed during menstruation, causing pelvic blood and fluid accumulation. You can use drugs such as danazol capsules and triptorelin acetate injection as prescribed by your doctor.

5. Trauma or postoperative complications: Pelvic surgery, trauma or postoperative complications, such as surgical incision infection, blood stasis, lymphatic reflux disorder, etc., may also lead to pelvic effusion. You need to eat more high-vitamin and high-protein foods, such as tomatoes, carrots, apples, etc., to supplement nutrition, strengthen your physical fitness, pay attention to rest, and avoid strenuous exercise.

The specific treatment method should be determined based on the doctor's diagnosis and the patient's condition. If you have any doubts or symptoms persist, you should seek medical attention promptly.
