What are the hazards of female cervicitis and how to treat female cervicitis

Cervicitis is common in women of childbearing age, especially middle-aged women. If it is not cured for a long time, it can lead to cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical cysts, etc., and easily cause malignant changes such as cervical cancer. So how to treat cervicitis? Let's take a look at it together.

Dangers of cervicitis:

1. It can cause deeper lesions: Due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, it can cause deeper diseases such as polyps, lacerations, ectropion and cysts, and even be life-threatening.

2. Cervicitis can become malignant: Many women with cervicitis are very concerned about this issue. According to the latest statistics, the incidence of cervical tumors in women with cervicitis is 10 times higher than that of those without cervical disease.

3. Cervicitis can cause infertility: When cervicitis occurs, especially moderate or severe cervicitis, cervical secretions will increase significantly, become thick in texture, and contain a large number of white blood cells, which will have an adverse effect on sperm motility and hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, thus affecting conception.

Treatment measures:

Drug treatment

Local vaginal irrigation and local medication are the most commonly used treatment methods. Vaginal side fornix closure: It can be used for chronic cervicitis combined with paracervical connective tissue inflammation, lumbar sacral pain and obvious cervical lifting pain, which seriously affects sexual life. Traditional Chinese medicine lotion Jieryin: It is suitable for various acute and chronic cervicitis. Its main ingredients are Cnidium monnieri, Phellodendron chinense, Sophora flavescens, and Atractylodes macrocephala. Generally, 10% of the medicine solution is used for vaginal washing or sitting bath, once a day, and two weeks is a course of treatment.

Chinese medicine fumigation

Fumigation with Chinese medicine is a very simple and convenient treatment method. Patients with cervicitis can try it. The specific method is to boil 10g of Phellodendron chinense, 30g of Sophora flavescens, and 30g of Cnidium monnieri in water, first fumigate and then sit bath the genitals. It is suitable for those with thick and yellow leucorrhea. Life care: 2 to 3 days after treatment, there will be a large amount of bloody or yellow watery secretions discharged from the vagina, and sanitary napkins are often needed. Generally, it will stop after about 3 weeks. When there is too much vaginal secretion and it stimulates the local discomfort of the vulva, the vulva can be cleaned with warm water or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Physical therapy

It is currently the method with the best effect and shortest course of treatment for cervical erosion. It is suitable for cases with larger erosion surface and deeper inflammatory infiltration. Generally, only one treatment is needed to cure the disease. Physical therapy should be performed within 3 to 7 days after the end of menstruation, and is contraindicated in cases of acute genital inflammation. Vaginal secretions increase after physical therapy, and the vulva should be kept clean. Bathing, sexual intercourse and vaginal douching should be avoided before the wound heals (4 to 8 weeks after surgery). If cryotherapy is performed, the patient should be asked whether he has a history of heart disease before the operation, and an electrocardiogram should be performed if necessary. It is contraindicated for patients with heart disease.
