Precautions for medication in patients with threatened abortion

Threatened abortion can cause bleeding, lower abdominal pain, backache and other symptoms. During the period of threatened abortion, by observing the amount of bleeding and abdominal pain, you can understand whether the symptoms of threatened abortion have been alleviated or aggravated, so as to ensure the normal progress of the pregnancy. Let's take a look at the precautions for patients with threatened abortion to take medicine:

(1) General treatment: If threatened abortion occurs, pregnant women should stay in bed and reduce activity. However, this does not mean they should stay in bed for 24 hours without moving, or even not get out of bed to urinate or defecate. Such excessive mental stress may cause abortion. They should engage in light activities appropriately. Sexual intercourse must be prohibited. Unnecessary vaginal examinations should be minimized to reduce stimulation to the uterus.

(2) Drug treatment: Progesterone can be used to maintain pregnancy. Progesterone can ensure embryo development, maintain pregnancy, inhibit uterine skeletal muscle contraction, and reduce uterine tension. Oral vitamin E is beneficial to embryo development, 10-20 mg each time, 3 times a day; if necessary, sedatives, sleeping pills and analgesics can be used to reduce stimulation.

(3) Treatment with Chinese medicine: Kidney deficiency is treated by strengthening the kidney and stabilizing the fetus. Qi and blood deficiency, spleen deficiency is treated by tonifying the middle qi, nourishing blood and stabilizing the fetus. Blood heat and yin deficiency are treated by nourishing yin, clearing heat and stabilizing the fetus. During treatment, the patient must be diagnosed and the medication must be used according to the specific conditions of each patient. Do not use the medication at will to avoid adverse effects on the fetus.

The precautions for threatened abortion and fetal preservation are as follows: 1. Pay attention to abdominal pain in threatened abortion and fetal preservation. If expectant mothers experience back pain and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen that cannot be relieved after rest or even worsens, they should be alert. If the lower abdominal pain worsens, accompanied by vaginal bleeding and tissue-like discharge, they should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

2. If you have vaginal bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy, you should always observe whether there is any tissue in the vaginal discharge. It is best to keep the discharge and take it to the hospital for examination by a doctor. If the amount of bleeding increases, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.

3. Rest is the key to protecting the fetus during threatened abortion. Pregnant women should stay in bed more and reduce activities, but this does not mean lying in bed for 24 hours without moving. They should do some light activities appropriately. Sexual intercourse must be prohibited, and unnecessary vaginal examinations should be minimized to reduce stimulation to the uterus. In addition, breast stimulation should be avoided, because breast stimulation can also cause uterine contractions, leading to the occurrence of threatened abortion.

If the symptoms still do not improve after taking the medicine to preserve the pregnancy and the amount of bleeding increases, it is possible that there is a problem with the development of the embryo itself, 50% of which may be due to chromosomal problems. In the end, it may lead to inevitable miscarriage. In this case, if we force the pregnancy to be preserved, it is meaningless.
