Various examination methods for cervical precancerous lesions

Cervical precancerous lesions refer to lesions that occur in the area before cancer occurs and thus cause cancer. They are extremely harmful to the human body. So what kind of examinations should be done for cervical precancerous lesions? The following is a detailed introduction for everyone. I hope the following content can be helpful to everyone.

The first step: TCT thin-layer liquid-based cytology test

First, the most advanced thin-layer liquid-based cytology technology (TCT) is used to observe cervical cells under a microscope to check whether there are any abnormalities in cervical cells, because cervical cancer begins with the mutation of cervical cells.

In addition, if financial conditions permit, HPV testing can also be performed, which will be more accurate.

The second step: electronic colposcopy

After TCT thin-layer liquid-based cytology testing, if abnormal cervical cells are found, a colposcopy is required. Under the high magnification of 40 times by the electronic colposcope, the subtle changes in the surface of the cervical precancerous lesions are observed, which is of great value for the early detection and early diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.

The third step: histopathological examination

If abnormalities are found during colposcopy, a biopsy should be taken under the guidance of special staining. Under the guidance of colposcopy, multiple biopsies of suspicious lesions and histopathological examinations can be performed to confirm cervical lesions.

After the above three-step examination, cervical lesions can be identified, cervical cancer can be discovered in its early stages, and prevention can be done before it occurs.
