Will cervical erosion affect normal pregnancy?

Most women will have varying degrees of cervical erosion after marriage, which is even more serious for women who want to have children. What are the hazards of cervical erosion to pregnant women?

Most women will have varying degrees of cervical erosion after marriage. As the pregnancy progresses, the levels of estrogen and progesterone in pregnant women continue to increase, causing the columnar epithelium of the cervix to migrate outward, tissue proliferation, and cervical erosion symptoms to become significantly more severe, which can easily lead to vaginal bleeding. Excessive sexual activity, excessive consumption of hot and irritating foods such as chocolate, peppers, longans, or hot pot can also aggravate bleeding symptoms. This type of bleeding is different from the bleeding caused by uterine contraction during spontaneous abortion, which causes the placenta to separate from the uterus, and does not directly affect the development of the fetus.

It should be noted that as long as the bleeding is stopped in time, the pregnancy can still progress normally. However, if it is not treated in time, it will affect the pregnancy and eventually lead to miscarriage. Treatment for pregnant women can be divided into systemic and local aspects, mainly to stop bleeding and control infection. It is difficult for patients to distinguish between bleeding caused by cervical erosion and bleeding caused by threatened abortion in terms of bleeding amount, time and color, so they should go to the hospital for examination in time. After vaginal dilation, the bleeding lesions on the eroded cervix can be clearly seen at a glance.

Long-term vaginal bleeding will affect the body's defense mechanism, making pregnant women more susceptible to reproductive system infections. It can also promote the development of infection, leading to fetal membrane infection and premature rupture of the membrane. At this time, as the amniotic fluid is lost, the conditions for normal fetal growth and development disappear, and miscarriage is inevitable. Diseases should be discovered and treated early.
