Nursing measures for adolescent patients with functional uterine bleeding

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding during adolescence is a special menstrual disorder during adolescence. Due to the unstable ovarian function and inadequate endocrine regulation of some girls, the menstrual cycle is disrupted, and there is a functional change of prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual volume. Patients with Dysfunctional uterine bleeding during adolescence should pay attention to the following points in their daily life:

Maintain a regular rhythm of life

Achieve a balance between work and rest, and avoid overwork. Adolescent girls should learn to control themselves, and not surf the Internet or entertain all night long, to prevent endocrine disorders caused by irregular life and overwork, which will promote the occurrence and development of functional uterine bleeding in adolescence. Pay attention to adding or removing clothes and bedding as the weather changes, and avoid excessive cold or heat that may cause endocrine disorders, resulting in prolonged menstruation and increased bleeding.

Pay attention to emotion regulation

Avoid excessive tension and mental stimulation, and keep a good mood. Studies have shown that adolescent girls often have greater emotional changes than other periods of their lives, and emotional fluctuations or mental stimulation are one of the important factors that induce functional uterine bleeding in adolescence. Therefore, during this period, parents should pay attention to their children's emotional changes, communicate with them more, understand the changes in their inner world, and help them release negative emotions, so that they can maintain a relatively stable mental and psychological state and avoid emotional ups and downs.

Preventing infection

Closely observe signs related to infection, such as body temperature, pulse, and abdominal pain; observe whether there are any abnormalities in the amount, color, and odor of vaginal bleeding, and instruct patients to keep the perineum clean, change underwear frequently, use disinfected sanitary pads, and scrub the vulva at least twice a day; drink plenty of water to achieve bladder flushing to prevent retrograde urinary tract infection.

Strengthen nutrition, balance diet, and improve overall condition

Eat more foods rich in protein, iron, and vitamins, such as liver, beef, egg yolk, chicken, milk, etc.; eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Those with heavy menstrual bleeding should take additional iron supplements to correct anemia and improve physical fitness.
