Precautions for patients with functional uterine bleeding after curettage and hemostasis

For patients with functional uterine bleeding, whether ovulating or anovulating, curettage can stop bleeding quickly and effectively, and has diagnostic significance. According to the results of endometrial pathology, menstrual regulation treatment should be started on the fifth day after curettage. During the treatment, the following matters should be noted:

Pay attention to rest and strengthen nutrition

After the curettage, you should stay in bed for 2-3 days, and then you can get out of bed and move around, gradually increasing the activity time. Do not engage in heavy physical labor within half a month after the curettage, and avoid contact with cold water. After the curettage, the uterus needs about a month to recover, so you should pay attention to increasing nutrition, taking in enough protein, enhancing the body's resistance to disease, and promoting the early repair of injured organs. You should eat more fish, meat, eggs, bean products, protein-rich foods, and fresh vegetables rich in vitamins to speed up the body's recovery.

Keep your vulva clean

After curettage, the cervix has not yet closed and the endometrium also has a repair process. During this period, special attention should be paid to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic. Do not take a bath in a tub within half a month after the operation to prevent unclean water from entering the vagina, leading to bacterial invasion and infection. Do not have sex within one month after curettage.

Observe bleeding

After the curettage, you should pay attention to vaginal bleeding. If it lasts for more than a week, or is accompanied by lower abdominal pain, fever, turbid and smelly leucorrhea, you should go to the hospital for follow-up examination and treatment in time.
