Prescription analysis: Sulfur, calomel, borax, Sophora flavescens, and Epimedium root in the prescription have the effects of clearing away heat, drying dampness, killing insects, killing and inhibiting various pathogenic microorganisms; frankincense, Sanguisorba officinalis, and catechu have the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, reducing swelling, dilating capillaries, increasing blood flow, inhibiting capillary permeability, and reducing exudate; borneol and toad have analgesic and antipruritic effects.
