Elective surgery can be performed to remove the tumor three months after pregnancy to avoid complications such as miscarriage. It is not easy to detect after the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Even if it is found, surgery must be performed after the fetus is delivered, because surgery at this time increases the risk of premature birth. If the tumor is large and there is a risk of blocking the birth canal and causing obstructive dystocia, preparations for a cesarean section should be made and the tumor removed at the same time. If an ovarian cyst develops rapidly during pregnancy and there is a risk of pedicle torsion or rupture, surgery should be performed as soon as possible and it is not advisable to wait.
