Irregular menstruation in women is related to occupation

Irregular menstruation in women is related to occupation

Generally speaking, we analyze the causes of irregular menstruation from emotions, stimulation, weight loss and bad eating habits. When we are constantly looking for solutions to irregular menstruation and the causes of irregular menstruation, have you ever thought that irregular menstruation may be related to your occupation? Studies have found that women in some occupations are more likely to suffer from irregular menstruation due to the special environment of these occupations.

1. Medical staff

Medical staff generally have a clear understanding of menstruation and its diseases, but in hospitals, there are still quite a few female medical staff who cannot find the reason for their menstrual irregularities. In fact, the anesthetic gas and formaldehyde gas used for disinfection in the hospital operating room are often the root cause of the trouble.

2. Stewardess

Women working in flight services are often affected by factors such as lack of oxygen at high altitudes, jet lag, irregular lifestyles, etc., and may also experience menstrual abnormalities such as early or late menstruation, secondary amenorrhea, etc. This has become an unspeakable distress for many stewardesses.

3. Female factory workers and female drivers

Female workers working in factories may be exposed to certain industrial toxins. In particular, female workers engaged in the production of chemical raw materials, artificial fibers, or the manufacture of carbon tetrachloride, cellophane and other products may be exposed to toxic substances such as toluene, xylene, and carbon disulfide. Among them, carbon disulfide increases the chance of miscarriage in women.

Gasoline can also cause menstrual cycle disorders, aggravate menopausal symptoms in menopausal women, and induce pregnancy poisoning. Therefore, female car drivers and female workers engaged in rubber, artificial leather, paint, dyes, pharmaceuticals, printing and other work will suffer from gynecological diseases such as abnormal menstruation.

4. Female athletes and ballet dancers

According to research, strenuous exercise can delay menarche and easily lead to amenorrhea, a phenomenon that is particularly common among ballet dancers and female athletes. If a girl receives regular vocational training from the age of 10, each year of training can delay menarche by 5 months.

Surveys show that a considerable proportion of female athletes under the age of 18 have menstrual abnormalities, most of which are manifested as late menstruation, irregular cycles, secondary amenorrhea, etc. Medical experts believe that this phenomenon is mainly due to intense exercise inhibiting the function of the hypothalamus, preventing the hypothalamus from secreting progesterone-releasing hormone, thereby interfering with the pituitary gland's release of gonadotropin in a normal cycle, leading to menstrual cycle disorders or amenorrhea.

There are many occupational factors that affect women's menstruation. Women should strengthen labor protection, have regular physical examinations, and seek medical treatment in time if they find abnormal menstruation, find out the cause, and receive effective treatment; if necessary, they should change their jobs to ensure their health. Employers should also provide effective labor protection measures as much as possible to ensure the physical and mental health of employees.
