Nourishing blood and regulating menstruation to treat irregular menstruation

27-year-old Julie has always had irregular menstruation. Her menstrual cycle is regular, but the menstrual flow is very small, and each menstrual period is accompanied by symptoms such as breast swelling. Julie originally heard from adults that women with irregular menstruation will gradually become normal after marriage, but Julie has been married for two years and her irregular menstruation problem has not improved at all.

Angelica, Ze Lan, Raw Atractylodes, Red Peony Root, White Peony Root, Chinese Yam, Rubus Idaeus, Epimedium, Bupleurum, Verbena, Tangerine Peel, Smilax, Purple Quartz (pre-decocted), Tangerine Leaves and Stems. Take 1 dose per day, decocted in water, for a total of 7 doses.

Follow-up visit: After taking the medicine, Julie's menstrual flow increased, but she still had breast swelling before menstruation and poor appetite. Chinese medicine examination: thin and greasy fur, stringy pulse, insufficient qi and blood, liver, spleen and kidney meridians were affected. The doctor prescribed medicine again to nourish qi and blood, and tonify liver and kidney.

Recipe 1: Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, Angelica sinensis, Chuanxiong, Paeonia lactiflora, Zedoariae rhizome, Rhizoma Clematis, Rubus idaeus, Epimedium, Amethyst (pre-decocted), Tangerine peel, Bupleurum chinense, Tangerine leaf, Tangerine seed. Decoction in water, 7 doses in total.

Recipe 2: Rehmannia root, Polygonatum sibiricum, Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, White peony root, Rubus idaeus, Epimedium, Cynomorium songaricum, Amethyst (pre-decocted), Cuscuta seed, Tangerine peel, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Cnidium monnieri. 10 doses in total.

Prescription 1 and Prescription 2 were taken during menstruation and non-menstrual period respectively. After taking 17 doses of Chinese medicine, Julie finally had normal menstrual regularity and menstrual volume.
