Symptoms of adnexitis at different stages

Symptoms of adnexitis at different stages

The symptoms of adnexitis often appear after some gynecological diseases or surgery, and it is also one of the more common gynecological inflammations. The symptoms of adnexitis will continue to show new characteristics as the disease progresses. Understanding these will help patients actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment.

1. Fever: The symptoms of adnexitis are high fever of 39-40℃ at the onset of the disease, and there may be chills or shivering, followed by irregular remittent fever. If the inflammatory lesions are isolated due to adhesion, the body temperature can drop quickly.

2. Signs: The general signs of adnexitis are significant tenderness in the lower abdomen, which is most obvious 1.5 to 2 cm above the midpoint of the inguinal ligament. Severe cases refuse to be pressed, and the abdominal muscles are rigid and have obvious rebound pain.

3. Dysmenorrhea: Dysmenorrhea caused by congestion in the pelvic cavity. In most cases, women will experience abdominal pain one week before menstruation. The pain becomes more severe as the menstrual period approaches, until the onset of menstruation.

4. Irregular menstruation: Frequent menstruation and excessive menstrual flow are the most common symptoms for women with pelvic inflammatory disease, which may be the result of pelvic congestion and ovarian dysfunction. Chronic inflammation leading to uterine fibrosis, incomplete uterine involution or abnormal uterine position caused by adhesions can all cause excessive menstruation.

5. Lower abdominal pain: Women with pelvic inflammatory disease will experience varying degrees of pain, including soreness, swelling, and a sense of falling in the lower back, back, and sacrum, which is often aggravated by fatigue. Due to pelvic adhesions, there may be bladder and rectal filling pain or pain when emptying, or other bladder and rectal irritation symptoms, such as frequent urination and aggravated tenesmus.

6. Female infertility: The fallopian tube itself is damaged by disease, forming adhesions and blockages, which leads to infertility. Secondary infertility is more common. Even if conception is possible, the chance of tubal pregnancy is higher.

The above are some characteristics of the symptoms of adnexitis at different stages. I believe it will be helpful for everyone to have a deeper understanding of the symptoms of adnexitis. The above symptoms of adnexitis should also be analyzed according to the actual situation of the patient and cannot be generalized.
