A-mei gained weight by drinking 3 cups of drinks a day? Eat about 9 bowls of rice

Even the queen A-mei Chang can’t resist the temptation of a hand-shaken drink? According to weekly reports, Ah Mei often drinks 2 to 3 cups a day, which causes calorie accumulation and has caused her figure to go out of shape recently. Nutritionists say that sugary drinks are high in calories. If you add chewing toppings such as pearls with a high glycemic index (GI), the speed at which the calories accumulate cannot be underestimated. If you calculate that a cup of hand-shaken coffee has 800 calories, it is almost equivalent to 2.9 bowls of rice, and it takes 4 hours of brisk walking to completely consume it.

The calories in commercially available shake cups are generally high. Nutritionists say that if the contents contain high-GI foods such as tapioca pearls, it is more likely to increase the chance of fat accumulation. (Photography by Huang Zhiwen)

According to a weekly report, A-mei's agent recently mentioned that A-mei's love for the "Signature Passion Fragrance QQ Green Tea" from a well-known beverage chain store, a cup of which has 806 calories, caused her to lose her figure over the long term.

Nutritionist Xie Yifang said that if a bowl of white rice is 200 grams and has 280 calories, a cup of beverage has 800 calories, which is approximately equivalent to 2.9 bowls of white rice. Most people often think that it is not a staple food and consume it in excess, which leads to obesity.

The reason why the hand-shaken cup drinks on the market can easily cause obesity, in addition to the added sugar in the liquid itself, is mainly because of the ingredients with high GI values, such as tapioca pearls and creamer. After consumption, they will cause blood sugar to rise and insulin secretion to increase, induce appetite and promote food metabolism. The more hungry you are, the more you eat, which in turn causes fat accumulation.

Eating and drinking are just instant actions, but fat consumption is difficult. Generally speaking, to lose 1 kg of body weight, you must burn 7700 calories. However, according to the data on food calorie conversion to exercise calorie provided by the National Health Service of the Department of Health, an adult weighing 60 kg, if drinking a 700cc cup of pearl milk tea with 410 calories, would need to maintain a brisk walking speed of 100 steps per minute for 123 minutes to completely consume the calories.

If we calculate based on the fact that A-mei Chang consumes three cups of "Signature Passion Fragrance QQ Green Tea" with 800 calories per day, she would need to walk for at least 12 hours to burn off the calories. Nutritionist Xie Yifang reminds that if you want to reduce fat accumulation, in addition to maintaining the habit of exercise, the best way is still to reduce the intake of sugary drinks and high GI foods.
