What are the treatments for adenomyomatosis?

For different situations, there will be different stages of development. Everyone's physique is different, so it is particularly important to adopt reasonable and scientific treatment methods. For adenomyoma, the author summarizes the following treatment methods, hoping to help you. If the patient has this situation, you can. Choose a scientific and reasonable treatment plan according to the following methods.

1. Medication

(1) Symptomatic treatment for mild symptoms, only to relieve dysmenorrhea, can choose to give ibuprofen, indomethacin or naproxen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for symptomatic treatment of dysmenorrhea

(2) For patients with mild symptoms, no temporary fertility requirements, and approaching menopause, pseudopregnancy treatment can control the development of adenomyosis by controlling the decidualization and atrophy of the ectopic endometrium. Oral contraceptives or progesterone can cause decidualization and atrophy of the ectopic endometrium.

(3) If the intrauterine device is used for heavy menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea, and there is no desire to have children for the time being, an intrauterine device containing highly effective progesterone can be selected to control the development of ectopic lesions by continuously releasing progesterone in the uterus. It needs to be removed or replaced after five years.

(4) Pseudomenopause treatment ("medical oophorectomy" or "medical hypophysectomy") reduces preoperative lesions and postoperative recurrence. GNRHA injection can make the hormone level in the body reach the menopausal state, causing the ectopic endometrium to gradually shrink and play a therapeutic role. GNRHA can significantly reduce the size of the uterus and can be used as a preoperative medication for some patients with large lesions and difficult surgeries. When the uterus becomes smaller before surgery, the risk and difficulty will be greatly reduced. Side effects can lead to menopausal symptoms and even serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications and osteoporosis, so it is recommended to add estrogen in reverse after 3 months of GNRHA application to reduce complications. In addition, GNRHA is expensive, so it is not currently used as a long-term treatment. Once the drug is discontinued, the resumption of menstruation may lead to further progression of the lesion.

(5) TCM treatment of adenomyosis is related to blood stasis and internal obstruction. The formation of blood stasis is related to pathogenic factors such as qi deficiency, cold stagnation, qi stagnation, phlegm and dampness. Therefore, in treatment, we must follow the principle of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and take into account the causes of blood stasis and the difference between deficiency and excess. Oral Chinese patent medicines such as Huazheng Pain Relief Granules, Sanjie Pain Relief Capsules, Danhe Fukang Decoction, Shaofu Zhuyu Pills, or decoctions adjusted according to specific circumstances can be taken. It can also be used for retention enema, plastering, and Chinese medicine ion introduction of Danshen injection to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. It can also be used for acupuncture of Gongyuan, Zhong, Hegu, Sanyinjiao, or acupuncture of the uterus, endocrine, and liver points during menstruation.

The above are the treatment methods for adenomyoma of the uterus. I hope that these five different treatment methods can give you a hint. Of course, different treatment methods will have different effects on different people, because everyone's physique is different, so you can choose a more reasonable and scientific treatment method according to your own situation and time and the course of your disease.
