Prolactin and Hyperprolactinemia

Prolactin and Hyperprolactinemia

Symptoms of hyperprolactinemia include breast pain, high fever, local lymphadenopathy, abscesses, etc. Hyperprolactinemia not only affects one's own health, but also affects the health of the baby. I think we should first understand the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia so that it is easier to identify and treat it as soon as possible. Below, we talk about the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia:

1. Pain

The initial symptoms of acute simple hyperprolactinemia are mainly breast pain, local high skin temperature, tenderness, unclear nodules, and tenderness.

2. Inflammatory symptoms

In acute suppurative hyperprolactinemia, the local skin becomes red, swollen, hot and painful, with obvious nodules and more tenderness. It may be accompanied by chills, high fever, headache, weakness, rapid pulse and other systemic symptoms, as well as enlarged and tender axillary lymph nodes.

3. Abscess

Due to ineffective treatment measures or further aggravation of the disease, local tissues undergo necrosis and liquefaction, and infection foci of varying sizes fuse to form abscesses. Abscesses can be unilocular or multilocular. Superficial abscesses are easy to find, while deeper abscesses are not easily found due to their lack of fluctuation. If patients with hyperprolactinemia have obvious systemic symptoms and local and systemic drug treatments are ineffective, it is important to perform punctures on the painful area and wait for pus to be extracted or white blood cells to be found in the smear to confirm the diagnosis of abscesses.

In short, the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia can be summarized as three major symptoms: unbearable pain, inflammation, and abscesses. When we suspect that we have hyperprolactinemia, we should see a doctor immediately and pay attention to our diet: eat more nutritious food, control protein intake, and at the same time, the most important thing to pay attention to is the supplementation of trace elements. Only in this way can we stay away from hyperprolactinemia as soon as possible.
