Bartholinitis is a common genital inflammation in women. The Bartholin glands are located in the deep 1/3 behind the labia majora on both sides. The gland duct opens between the hymen and the labia minora. When the vulva is contaminated by sexual intercourse, childbirth or other circumstances, pathogens can easily invade and cause Bartholinitis. During an acute inflammation attack, the pathogen first invades the gland duct, which presents an acute suppurative inflammation. The gland duct opening is often blocked due to swelling or condensation of exudate, and pus cannot flow out, but accumulates to form an abscess. Patients initially feel swelling, pain, and burning sensation in the vulva, difficulty walking, and sometimes difficulty urinating and defecating. Examination shows obvious redness, swelling, fever, and tenderness of the local skin. When an abscess is formed, a sense of fluctuation can be felt, and the patient has systemic symptoms such as fever. When the pressure inside the abscess increases, the surface skin becomes thinner, and the abscess ruptures on its own. If the rupture is large, it can drain on its own, and the inflammation will subside quickly and heal. If the rupture is small and the drainage is not smooth, the inflammation will continue to not subside, and acute attacks may occur repeatedly. Therefore, when patients have the above discomfort, they should seek medical attention as soon as possible. When acute inflammation occurs, patients need to rest in bed. Take a sitz bath with potassium permanganate powder or Chinese medicine for clearing heat and detoxification. When an abscess is formed, it can be incised and drained and an ostomy can be performed. Because of different personal situations, the examinations and treatments required are different, and the specific costs are also different. Patients should go to the hospital in time to avoid delaying the disease. The charging standards of hospitals in different places are also different, so it is impossible to give a specific cost. |
