Clinical symptoms of ovulatory bleeding

Clinical symptoms of ovulatory bleeding

What is ovulation bleeding? In our lives, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of ovulation bleeding, but do you know what the symptoms of ovulation bleeding are? Let's learn about it together.

Clinical manifestations

It usually occurs on the 12th to 16th day of a normal menstrual cycle, and usually lasts for a few hours or two to three days, not more than 7 days. The amount is significantly lower than normal menstrual bleeding, and the bleeding can stop. Ovulation bleeding during 4 to 5 menstrual cycles may be associated with mild abdominal pain or back pain, or it may not be accompanied by discomfort. Sometimes it occurs occasionally in the next menstrual cycle, but some people may continue for a long time.

Ovulation bleeding test

1. Gynecological examination

Pay attention to whether the cervix has erosion and bleeding, and perform cervical TCT examination when necessary to check whether the uterus and bilateral adnexa are tender, thickened, or have lumps (check when necessary, and be gentle).

2. Auxiliary examination

(2) Signs of ovulation: The basal body temperature is biphasic, B-ultrasound shows normal ovulation, and ovulation changes can be seen in ovulation test strips. Bleeding occurs when the body temperature changes from low to high and when the test strip changes from positive to negative, that is, the ovulation period.

(2) Ultrasound examination to rule out other diseases caused by abnormal bleeding such as endometrial polyps and submucosal uterine fibroids.

(3) Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscopy can be performed when necessary to rule out organic lesions such as cervical polyps and endometrial cancer.

Diagnosis of ovulatory bleeding

The diagnosis can be confirmed based on medical history, ovulation-related examinations and necessary auxiliary examinations.
