How to treat cervical erosion in a gynecological hospital

The chance of female friends suffering from cervical erosion is very high. Basically, female friends who have had sexual life will have some cervicitis problems, which will cause cervical erosion over time. There are many ways to treat cervical erosion. Now let us learn about how gynecological hospitals treat cervical erosion!

1. Drug treatment: For those with small erosion and shallow inflammatory infiltration, drug treatment can be used, such as local application of silver nitrate or potassium permanganate. When using drugs, be careful to prevent burns to the surrounding vaginal wall, and pay attention to disinfection when using the drugs to prevent repeated infection.

2. Physical therapy: used for cervical erosion with a large erosion area and deep inflammatory infiltration. ① Electric ironing: Use a special electric iron to burn the eroded surface tissue to make it necrotic and fall off. ② Cryotherapy: Use a special rapid freezing device to freeze, necrotize and fall off the lesion tissue on the cervical erosion surface. ③ Laser treatment: Use a carbon dioxide laser therapy device to carbonize, inflame and fall off the eroded tissue. ④ KS instrument treatment: It is a painless treatment using special wavelengths of light and heat. The effect is good. During the treatment with the above methods, attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the vulva, and living, vaginal irrigation and sitting bathing are prohibited. Regular follow-up should also be conducted to observe the healing of the eroded surface.

3. Surgical treatment: It is suitable for patients with severe and complex lesions, such as those who are ineffective with drugs and physical therapy, those with deep or large cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy or suspected cancer, cervical cone resection or total hysterectomy may be considered.

In fact, cervical erosion may be just a kind of epithelial migration. Gynecological experts have reached a consensus that if there is no bleeding after sexual intercourse and no symptoms of acute cervicitis such as mucopurulent secretions, especially for those who want to have children, and if cervical intraepithelial lesions are excluded through screening, such as normal TCT, physical therapy may not be needed.

If there are symptoms such as contact bleeding, especially those with abnormal cytological screening such as TCT, appropriate physical therapy can be selected. Routine vaginal cytological examinations such as TCT are required before treatment, and colposcopy and routine leucorrhea tests are usually required. The most suitable treatment time is 3-7 days after the end of menstruation, and the cool season is better because it is more comfortable after treatment. After physical therapy, a follow-up examination is required once a month to observe the healing of the wound; bathing, sexual intercourse and vaginal douching are prohibited within two months.

After reading the above article, everyone can clearly understand the methods of treating cervical erosion. Of course, no matter which treatment method is used, the patient himself needs to actively cooperate to achieve the treatment effect. Therefore, when cervical erosion occurs, everyone must have a correct attitude to face this disease.
