National Cheng Kung University Hospital once collaborated with the Taiwan Pediatric Association to conduct a large-scale questionnaire study on the health needs of more than 5,000 adolescents in Tainan. The results found that the issues that adolescents are most concerned about are body shape, acne, nutrition, and sexual behavior; and the proportion of adolescent health knowledge that mainly comes from mass media and the Internet has surpassed that of parents, school teachers, classmates, health centers, medical institutions, and siblings.

It is worth noting that National Cheng Kung University Hospital established a youth-friendly clinic in August last year, and has received more than 50 cases so far. The most common problem among those seeking treatment is obesity, followed by parent-child conflict, psychological and mental health, pregnancy and other issues. This is consistent with the statistics of other hospitals that have established youth clinics for more than three years. Some young girls also came to the hospital to receive cervical vaccinations, and the hospital also took the opportunity to provide health education. It is obvious that the problems commonly faced by young people are similar.
