Dr. Xiao Dunren pointed out that good eating habits combined with exercise can help people lose about 0.5 kg of weight per week, or 2 kg in a month. Rapid weight loss will not affect body functions and cause symptoms such as loss of appetite and gastrointestinal discomfort, or fatigue, constipation, poor skin condition, etc. due to endocrine disorders. The most important thing for healthy weight loss is perseverance, don’t rush!

Sun Yaqi, a nutritionist at the Ren'ai branch of Taipei City United Hospital, mentioned that excessive dieting can easily lead to overeating, which can cause serious sequelae to the body. She recommends having three normal meals with balanced nutrition. You only need to reduce the amount of starchy staple foods such as rice, pasta, steamed buns, bread, and root vegetables, but you cannot completely avoid them. As for processed foods such as biscuits, canned food, instant noodles, etc., you should strictly abide by the rules of not eating them; not drinking sugary drinks, and avoiding heavy-tasting foods.
