The most common type of obesity among Orientals is lower body obesity, also known as the "pear" body shape, which is usually related to eating habits. Oriental people's diet is mainly based on rice. If they consume too much starch, it will easily be converted into glycogen and stored in the muscles. If it is not consumed through exercise, it will become fat and accumulate in the body.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, people who consume too much starch, or like to eat sweets, beverages, snacks and other greasy foods will gradually develop a "phlegm-damp constitution". They often feel heavy and their feet begin to swell in the evening, and they may even be unable to wear shoes. Because water will flow downwards, excess moisture in the body will accumulate in the lower body, eventually causing lower body obesity.

Some people are thin all over, but the sides of their hip bones are particularly prominent. There is not much flesh on the protruding parts, and a careful examination reveals that it is the greater trochanter of the femur that is protruding outward. This type of people is unfairly accused because they are usually not overweight, but their hips appear to be quite broad. As long as they change their habit of crossing their legs or sitting cross-legged, and undergo proper bone adjustment, their buttocks will become smaller.

There is no absolute correlation between lower body obesity and pelvic deviation. Genes determine the distribution of fat. Not all people with lower body obesity will have a pelvic deviation, and not all people with a pelvic deviation will have a larger lower body than others.

However, it is true that some people's lower bodies are getting fatter and fatter because their pelvis is crooked and fat begins to accumulate. If you want your lower body to appear smaller, you can work on exercises that will reduce your pelvis.

The main factor that determines the size of the pelvis is "genetics". Some people are lucky and inherit a small pelvis, so even if there is fat accumulation in the lower body, it will not be very obvious in appearance. Some people are not so lucky and inherit a large pelvis. Even a little bit of fat accumulation will make their lower body look much larger than others.

Furthermore, compared to Westerners, Orientals have slightly wider pelvises, and most people have a pear-shaped body, which makes their lower body appear larger.

Another factor that determines the size of your pelvis is posture. Long-term poor posture can also cause the pelvis to enlarge. Female friends who love beauty should pay special attention to this. In particular, many people sit at desks for long periods of time, often crossing their legs unconsciously, and as they do so, their pelvis slowly opens.

In addition, if you walk in incorrect posture while wearing high heels, your thigh bones will become more and more outward, and your pelvis will also become larger. If you want to slim down your lower body, your first priority is to reduce your pelvis.
