What are the types of pelvic inflammatory disease?

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common gynecological disease. Do you know the types and types of this disease? The types of pelvic inflammatory disease have their own symptoms. How to correctly judge your type.

The types of pelvic inflammatory disease are mainly divided into acute pelvic inflammatory disease and chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

Acute pelvic inflammatory disease has a history of acute infection, with dull pain in the lower abdomen, muscle tension, tenderness, rebound pain, rapid heart rate, fever, and purulent vaginal discharge. Severe cases may include high fever, headache, chills, loss of appetite, large amounts of yellow and leucorrhea, abdominal distension, tenderness, and back pain; nausea, abdominal distension, vomiting, and diarrhea in peritonitis; and lower abdominal masses and local compression and irritation symptoms may occur when abscesses form. If the mass is located in the front, urination difficulties, frequent urination, and urinary pain may occur; if the mass is located in the back, diarrhea, internal urgency, and difficulty in defecation may occur.

The systemic symptoms of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease are sometimes low-grade fever and susceptibility to fatigue. Some patients develop neurasthenia due to the long course of the disease, such as insomnia, lack of energy, and general discomfort. Lower abdominal swelling, pain, and lumbosacral pain usually worsen during fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation. Pelvic congestion and menorrhagia are caused by chronic inflammation. Menstrual disorders occur when ovarian function is impaired, and infertility occurs when the fallopian tubes are blocked by adhesions. Acute inflammation may lead to serious consequences, such as diffuse peritonitis, sepsis, and even septic shock; women with chronic inflammation can work and live normally, and are physically and mentally healthy.
