Support domestic cattle! Taiwan Beef Carnival invites you to taste the fresh beef

The "2012 Taiwan Beef Carnival" was officially launched on the 23rd. In addition to announcing the "Taiwan Good Beef, First-Class Safety" joint label for domestic beef, the Council of Agriculture and representatives of county and city governments also want to tell the public across the country about the "fresh", "healthy", "safe" and "delicious" local Taiwanese beef. At the same time, they called on consumers across the country to come to the Shanhua Brewery in Tainan City on May 26th to participate in the "2012 Taiwan Beef Carnival" and support domestic beef with actions.

Chen Baoji, chairman of the Council of Agriculture, pointed out that Taiwanese beef does not contain mad cow disease and is prohibited from using beta-receptors. Domestic beef is humanely slaughtered at legal slaughterhouses and is strictly checked by on-site veterinarians for carcass hygiene. It is absolutely hygienic and safe, and is delivered to consumers in the shortest time after slaughter. It is produced locally and does not have the problem of long-distance cross-border transportation. It retains the freshest flavor and sweetness. It is the best example of promoting "energy conservation and carbon reduction, shortening food miles" and "local production and local consumption", and is worth recommending to consumers across the country.

At the same time, in order to show the high quality of domestic beef, the Council of Agriculture specially subsidized the Taiwan Beef Industry Development Association (with the Tainan City Government co-subsidizing) to hold the "Taiwan Beef Promotion and Tasting Event - 2012 Taiwan Beef Carnival" at the Shanhua Brewery Square in Tainan City from 10 am to 5 pm on May 26, so that people across the country can get to know the "fresh", "healthy", "safe" and "delicious" domestic beef.

On May 26, the "2012 Taiwan Beef Carnival" event included NT$10 Taiwan beef soup, a Taiwan beef cooking show, a game to get to know Taiwan beef, and band performances. A charity auction for domestic beef was also held on stage from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. that day.
