How many days does it take to detect an ectopic pregnancy?

Generally speaking, ectopic pregnancy can be discovered about 35-40 days after pregnancy. But this time is not absolute, because the time of discovery of ectopic pregnancy is also affected by the implantation site of the fertilized egg.

If the fertilized egg implants in the isthmus of the fallopian tube, it may be discovered as early as 35 days after pregnancy; if it implants in the ampulla of the fallopian tube, it may not be discovered until 8-12 weeks; interstitial pregnancy will be discovered even later, and clinical symptoms may not appear until the fetus is 3-4 months old.

Early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy include irregular vaginal bleeding, pain on one side or in the middle of the lower abdomen, etc. If these symptoms occur, pregnant women should seek medical attention in time.

Ectopic pregnancy is a serious disease. As the fetus grows, the fallopian tube may rupture and cause heavy bleeding, threatening the life of the pregnant woman. After becoming pregnant, pregnant women must go to a regular hospital for examination to determine whether it is an ectopic pregnancy. If it is an ectopic pregnancy, surgical treatment is required as soon as possible.

If symptoms of suspected ectopic pregnancy occur, pregnant women should seek medical attention promptly.
